Final Round Schedules

If you are looking for your new game schedule for the new year, they will be updated on the CWSA website on Dec 23. 

The final round games are already pre-scheduled and can be viewed through the links below. Schedules will depend on team placement in the first round:

Player registration will open in early October. Players who wish to join a team should check out the Player Network.

• Aug 23 - Indoor registration opens
• Aug 23 - Kickstart Tournament registration opens
• Aug 30 - CWSA Scholarship applications open
• Sept 12 - Kickstart registration closes
• Sept 17 - Indoor registration closes
• Sept 30 - CWSA Scholarship applications close
• Oct 17-20 - Kickstart Tournament
• Oct 25 - First installment of league fees due
• Nov 5 - 7v7 league play begins
• Nov 1 - Boarded league play begins
• Nov 10-13 - Remembrance Day (weekend), no Boarded league games. 7v7 league will play.
• Nov 22 - Final installment of league fees
• Dec 20 - Provincial opt out deadline
• Dec 22-Jan 6 - Winter Break, no league games
• Jan 31 - Player transfer deadline
• Feb 16-19 - Family Day Weekend, no league games
• Mar 14 - Last day of 7v7 league games (tentative)

League Alignment

Boarded - Final Alignment _{(Draft Alignment)}

7v7 - Final Alignment _{(Draft Alignment)}

The boarded alignment is based on a promotion/relegation system. Existing CWSA teams may be placed in a division based on the final standings of the Indoor 2022-23 season. New teams joining the CWSA may begin in the lowest division. Should there be a vacancy, the CWSA at its discretion may place any team, upon that team’s request, in a higher division.

League Fees

Registration deposit: $1,000

Payment Dates:

• Sept 17 - Registration deposits due
• Oct 25 - First instalment of league fees due
• Nov 22 - Final instalment of league fees due

Callup Charts

Callup charts will be posted to the Callup Charts page prior to the start of the season

Programs

• Boarded
• 7v7

Players can register to one team in each program, but not to two teams in the same program. (eg: a player can register to a 7v7 team and to a Boarded team, but cannot register to two boarded teams.)

BOARDED

• No registration cap
• ~18 games*, ~1 per week
• Season from November to March
• 50 minute games
• Divisions: 1-5, Over 30* and Over 40
• Provincials: Yes (Divisions 1-3 & Over 30 only)
• 6v6 format played on boarded fields

*Please contact the office if you are interested in registering an Over 30 team this season

Boarded Game Nights

• If there are seeding rounds:

  • Competitive: Wed & Thurs
  • Intermediate: Mon & Tues
  • Recreational: Any

  If no seeding round and/or final rounds would be:

  • Division 1: Wed & Thurs
  • Division 2: Tues & Thurs
  • Division 3: Mon & Thurs
  • Division 4/5/6 & Over 40: Any

  ** Please note: planned game nights are subject to change without notice **

There will be no games scheduled on the following dates: (Nov 10-13, Dec 22-Jan 6, and Feb 16-19).

Primary game location: 

• Calgary Soccer Centre - 7000 48 St SE, Calgary, AB

Secondary game locations**:

• Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre - 800 Griffin Rd E, Cochrane, AB
• Crescent Point Regional Field House - 125 Field House Drive East, Aldersyde, AB
• Genesis Place - 800 East Lake Blvd NE, Airdrie, AB

* Number of games may be adjusted after completion of the final alignment, and is based on the number of teams in each division.
**Games will only be scheduled at secondary locations if there is an Airdrie, Cochrane or Okotoks based team in your division who has requested their home games be played in their home facility.

Boardless 7v7

• SPACE IS LIMITED - Register early to secure a spot.
  • First 54 team registrations are guaranteed. First come, first served. Additional registrations will be put on a waitlist and may be accommodated.
• ~16 games*, ~1 per week
• Season from early November to March
• 60 minute games
• Level of play: major, premier, and divisions 1-6 (final number of tiers will depend on the number of teams registered)
• Provincials: No
• 7v7 format, played on the red lined fields (same as Indoor 2022-23)

7v7 Game Nights

• Primarily Sundays, some Thursdays

There will be no games scheduled on the following dates: (Dec 22-Jan 6, and Feb 16-19).
