Dear Members,
We have recently completed updates across several CWSA policies, the Rules and Regulations and our Discipline Code. Below is a summary of the key areas where changes have been made:
KEY RULE CHANGE: Players may now present a photo of their CWSA ID card along with government-issued photo ID to be eligible to play.
(Previously, only the physical ID card was accepted.)
This change is intended only as a contingency option when a player forgets their physical ID card, and is not intended to replace the requirement to carry the physical card. Players are still expected to bring their physical ID card to all games and are encouraged to ensure they have an updated card to avoid any issues on game day.
If a photo of an ID card is used, the name must match exactly across the ID card, government-issued photo ID, and the game sheet. Referees will be instructed not to permit participation if there is not a match across all three documents.
Please review the updated documents for full details. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at office@mycwsa.ca
